The Clerk of the Superior Court maintains Arizona divorce records in the county in which the dissolution of marriage or decree was granted. It is necessary to request copies of these records from the Clerk’s Office. The Arizona Department of Health Services, Office of Vital Records does not have marriage or divorce records available – only copies of birth and death certificates may be requested there.
How To Access Arizona Divorce Records
Copies of Arizona divorce records are available in person at four Clerk’s Office locations and through the mail from one other location (see contact information below). As the requestor, you must supply your name, address and daytime telephone number. Including your email address if you are ordering divorce records though the mail is also recommended as the wait time is typically faster. This is due to the need for the Clerk’s Office to assess the exact fees for your order and reply back to you with a fee statement.
